Spot on and guilty as charged!
My favorite walks are twilight time after a day’s snowfall. Glistening streets, snow covered tree branches, electric wires like white threads woven together, and soft snowflakes still falling. No matter the temps, I get outside and walk awhile.
I go outdoors every day no matter the weather.
Honestly I would rather be out there in bad weather than good. Exercising in this heat is dangerous
I have always been a minimalist.
For something like 30 years I cycled about 15km to work each day, no matter the weather I would always wear just a T shirt and shorts. If it rained, once you are soaked through you can get no wetter - there was a hot shower at either end of my journey
My only concession was that I drilled holes in my cycling shoes because there is nothing worse than a shoe full of water
I do dog walks in all weather. Neither of us like it, but needs must. Happy to stay indoors though, the rest of the time.
I don’t like staying indoors, I’ve got to be out & about. Not what you’d call exercise, a brisk walk at best.
I’ve been a fit off-road cyclist but even so, definitely a fair weather one. I took no pleasure cycling in the rain, so didn’t. Cold yes windy yes hot weather yes, rain or snow no. If I can ever manage to go cycling again, it would be just the same.
I am such a happy bunny that I will NEVER see snow again, that 8/9°C is as cold as it gets.
I like a few days of snow and going for walks just for the novelty of it. It most often doesn’t last longer than that and this winter, we hardly had any. I was a bit disappointed.
I used to like the snow and always looked forward to a good snowbound moorland walk or run, but these days I agree with you. If I don’t ever have to go out in snow again I wouldn’t lose a minutes sleep…Old bones and muscles don’t do well in sub zero temperatures anymore.
I think the weather has changed - it has got significantly warmer. The last significant snow we had was about seven years ago at our last house. Even then it was only an inch or so showing the dog’s footprints.
For now Besoeker, the weather is as unpredictable as…well…the weather.
There has never been a lot of snow here in the UK except in the high places. Occasionally you could throw in a really bad winter, still can, but there have been long periods of mild winters with very little or no snow at all. In my lifetime I could count on one hand the amount of very bad winters with heavy snow falls, regardless of what the weatherman says. Half of them aren’t old enough to shave yet, but you and me have actually lived and witnessed it…
Okay Bes…Two hands then…
Great photo though…
No way, dude. I only go out when it’s nice out. It’s around 70°F and sunny today, so I’ll go out for a brisk walk later… probably around 3:00.
I posted this when I saw people jogging in weather so bad that they must have been crazy.
Voluntarily jogging in torrential rain? Crazy indeed.
I was out jogging down a lonely stretch of road adjacent a golf course, the wind was horrendous and the rain was torrential and I thought “Look at those idiots playing golf in this weather”
does not ever snow where I live.
in absolutely bucketing rain or a thunderstorm - No
but dog gets walked in any other weather and I do my weekly 5km run in any other weather (early morning if it is going t o be really hot day)
