My last daydream was about all the good things about yesteryear.
There I was in my cossie at the beach eating an Eskimo Pie. Bay City Rollers were singing, Bye, Bye Baby on the cassette player.
I was showing off my skills with a YoYo, doing Loop the Loops,
Bay City Rollers give way to Skyhooks and their song Women in Uniform.
Then before I knew it, I was in my Combi van, racing home to watch Dennis Lillee destroy the Poms(again).
Gosh! What were the bad things then?
(Only joking)
Oh Chortle Chortle Chortle.
Listening to the Bay City Rollers in my cossies was the best.
I admire your bravery for admitting it anyway.
I would agree about Lillee though.Even as a Pom I could be nothing but impressed. And we had to contend with Thomson, too.
No, I noticed the passing of opportunities in “Real Time”
certainly do, nice to reflect on some of the nice things
Usually smoking, drinking and loud music involved … things I don’t do anymore. But hey, my heads full of happy memories.
I had a crush on a girl who was a Bay City Rollers fan back in 73, we were both eleven. I distinctly remember seeing ’ I love Les ’ written on her white school plimsolls.
I was disguarded, ignored and cast asunder!
The pain lingers on!
Absolutely … husband has MS and Dementia, still got great memories though xxx
Only the very best parts. The rest isn’t worth pondering about.
Didn’t Les venture into iffy situations, who could have guessed?
On occasions as it can`t be helped, and you think where on earth did that come from,.
Then go on to chatting about it with Mr H.
Yes I often sit by the firelight and wander down memory lane. Never thought in a million years the world would be the way it is now.
I often daydream about my time with horses. Can’t believe how lucky I was to find over the years so many people who wanted their horses looked after/ridden, at their own places. It was amazing. I had so much fun.
Oh the Bay City Rollers, my childhood favourite, us girls at Primary School were absolutely crazy about them, and especially the lead singer, of course
I seem to remember having a Bay City Rollers schoolbag and we used to sing this chant:
B - A - Y, B - A - Y
B - A - Y - C - I - T - Y
with an R - O - double L - E - R - S
The Bay City Rollers are the best.
Absolutely. Who needs “Brocken Bricks” in there imaginary Backpack. Weighing them down.
Throw em OUT. And polish up the Good Ones.
Life’s a whole lot more pleasurable. With a light load of the Goodies’.
I remember the bands name from the 70’s, at skating rink, but I’d have to Google the famous song to remember completely ( it’s 6am in Florida)
I’ve always preferred the world of realism, life is what it is, has been what it has been. I’ve been there, no desire to go back.
Yep, me too
