In my current level of Grumpiness, I find myself, more frequently, asking to speak to the Boss, rather than continuing to try and get some sort of sensible response, and action, from some in between person.
They are not always easy to get to, but, if you have a serious complaint, why should that be?
Reason for raising this was that, recently, one of my relatives had a huge problem getting someone to talk seriously about a problem with his car.
After a lot of attempts, with the staff, he got through to the Boss - who fixed the issue in minutes!
That is because the boss, in general does not have to work to a set of procedures, the in-betweens usually have to work to some sort of protocol. In the Medical Practices where the family work, you will always get someone who goes off on a rant when they can’t get their own way, so, often the Practice Manager has to get involved, woe betide her by the staff if she gives in, and lets the person get their way, it must be tempting to over ride the rules for a quiet life but, she daren’t.
I agree that the Medical System is a bit difficult to apply any rules to.
Many of the staff, there, are overwhelmed because of organisation issues.
In fact, I just read that Doctors are threatening strike action, at the mo!
Maybe I should restrict my post to products and services.
Half a lifetime of dealing with Consultants and the like has taught me not to faff about but go straight to the Top.
I always go straight to the organ grinder.
No point in faffing about with someone who just keeps saying, ‘l’m sorry about that’. You know they aren’t really as they are switched onto auto play.
I always go to the top of the organisation, but not the initial company, but the parent company as that action always produces quick and required results.
Recently my wife had a problem with an item supplied by Coopers of Stortford and when foot dragging was encountered, I became involved. It soon became obvious some of the staff at Coopers were incompetent so I contacted the MD at the parent company, Damartex. That produced the desired results and the problem was resolved to my wife’s complete satisfaction during the same week.
Always go to the top of any parent company and if this is not evident, then search companies house on-line for full information👍
