Do you arrive 10 minutes late or are you always early?

I’m usually early but my doctor calls it premature.

Always early, except parties…I don’t like to be first to arrive

I’m always on time, but mostly 10 minutes early, need
to anticipate loads of things that could come up.

There is something of a culture thing about arrival times. In many southern European countries it is expected that people are 5-10 min late for, say, business meetings and 30-40 minutes late for a social function. Whereas the Scandinavians will arrive 10 minutes before the invitation time to, say, a dinner party and then sit in their car until exactly the proper time.
Me, I’m always a few minutes early. Even when I know I’ll end up hanging about for a bit.

Always early. Habit I formed from 20 years of military service.

I think my boys have the same habit for the same reason.

I love people watching so I can sit for hours doing nothing, it pays dividends when I’m stuck in traffic, while Mrs Fox is tearing her hair out, I just sit and wait, I even let people in from side roads much to Mrs Fox’s annoyance. I would much rather sit in the car for a while before the time, I quite admire the Scandinavians mentioned in Linc’s post, although it seems to be a unique quality found in all Volvo drivers also.
