Anyone made their own? I found this recipe:
In a 30 ml (1 fl oz) carrier oil (like fractionated coconut, jojoba, or almond):
- 10 drops Geranium
- 8 drops Lavender
- 5 drops Rosemary
- 4 drops Peppermint
- 3 drops Cedarwood
- 3 drops Vanilla oleoresin/absolute (as fixative)
But I used water instead of a carrier oil - think it will work? There’s a part of my hike where there’s loads of them and I hate them!!
The one thing you’re missing is bergamot but perhaps best not used as it can cause severe sunburns,
Great as a room spray though.
I think you’ll smell wonderful Azz … seriously you’re not going out hiking in this heatwave. You’ll shrink.

I’ve been out every day in it Mort
It was a bit strong tbh, I might stick to the more musky/masculine smells - not sure which one it was, but overall it smelt like a perfume, even tho individually they don’t
Some decent patchouli oil!
I wouldn’t dare wear it out anymore…it makes me smell my age!

Don’t think I’ve ever had any patchouli oil - curious what it smells like now!!

patchouli has been likened to the smell of funny fags
You love it or you hate it. Very heavy and earthy as Chilli says.
The geranium most likely made your manly concotion smell unmanly.
Cedarwood is a great one for chaps and you’ll repel ants too.
Or if you want to smell lemony and citrusy fresh …citronella.
Great for detering insects.

What I want to know is … is Azz back from his hike yet as it’s midgey time…he’ll be marauded.

While she looks at you so coolly
And her eyes shine like the moon in the sea
She comes in incense and patchouli
So you take her to find what’s waiting inside
