I understand this view and the good intention it is based on. I am just not sure that it is practical in all cases.

They seem very quick to point out that the crime was not racially or politically motivated and that the perp was white
Even when they released the first suspect and had to start all over again.

Yorkshire is more than a bit away from where she lived. How did they manage to arrest someone from that distance away. I would have thought the person would probably be local certainly nearer than Yorkshire. :person_shrugging::person_shrugging:

CCTV along with face recognition software. A few weeks ago I was walking along Victoria St in London and there was a van sat on the pavement, a few police standing near the van and a dozen more police round the corner. The had cameras mounted on it and “Facial Recognition” written on the side. I found it quite disturbing in a big brother way.

That would be an invasion of privacy
