Did you know Charlie Chaplin Wrote 39 Film Scripts?

He also wrote 5 songs of which there have been 667 covers.
His song, Smile has been covered by 558 Artists.
His song, This is my song has been covered by 91 Artists.
Written by Chaplin in 1966 for the film A Countess from Hong Kong, which Charlie Chaplin wrote and directed.
He wanted Al Jolson to sing it but Jolson had died in 1950, a fact Chaplin did not know.
As a consequence the song was only played as an instrumental.
Engelburt Humperdinck’s version in 1967

He was a talented man.I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of his films though.

“A day without laughter is a day wasted . To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!” Chaplin.
