Deontay Wilder Versus Tyson Fury

Refuse to make that Snooker promoter any richer.

My father was apparently a good schoolboy boxer but he upset his father by refusing to fight in a final schoolboys competition because he decided that it was the only sport (and he was into many) where the deliberate intention was to hurt your opponent.

Modern day Roman Gladiators. Societies have not changed much over the centuries. Many people will always pay to watch any blood “sport”.

What really upsets me, however, are animal fights : bull fights, cock fights and most especially dog fights. All of which should be forever banned, world-wide, and the promoters sent to prison.

Agree with you there Bakerman.

I hate boxing but Mr M read out the result just now.
Tyson Fury won the other man threw in the towel.

I agree with that as well Bakerman, at least boxers have a choice…

I thought it was the intention to stop him hurting you CM?
Donkeyman!

I see the result was as l predicted, a complete mismatch!

Just following Furies previous formula!

£25. Not much for a boxing fan considering the price of tickets. I would imagine its not much less than paying to watch Liverpool or Manchester City and much more exciting.

I went to Spain quite a few times and all over from Huelva in the south to Bilbao in the north. We passed through Pamplona where they have the annual bull run. I talked to my Spanish driver about the bullfighting. “The bull he have only one bad day” was his comment.
:frowning:

I’m not a great fan of boxing but l am quite interested in the story of Tyson Fury. I’m very pleased he won.

Thinking about the £24.99 charge to watch it, was it really value for money as it was over after 20 minutes!

To be honest, if the fight had been televised earlier, I might have coughed up the £25, but there was no way I was going to get up at 4.30am to watch it. Instead I got up at my usual time of 7am and watched the whole fight for free on UTube. Brilliant by Fury!! He should fight AJ next and retire with all the Heavyweight belts!

MickB, Fury made me laugh at the post fight interview, when asked if the next move would be a rematch, he replied “I don’t know. we might have a tickle with that guy back across the pond”.

I dont agree Mick, l think it was great that Fury managed to get
himself in shape again and get his mental problems sorted out,
but imo his fights on his comeback trail have been carefully selected
by his management team to pose no threat to him?
Lets see who his next fight will be against?
I cant see who is available at the moment?
Donkeyman!

Looks like its a rematch in July.

Wylder will get the thrashing of his life and this time he won’t have any excuses.

How can he justify a rematch? He is obviously not qualified?
Any rematch between the two will only be to maximise risk free
profits for the Fury camp imo!
Donkeyman!

A Tickle would be the better option, time is short.

Rematch?

His father said he wants him to retire now.

I believe he is now under investigation by the boxing board of
control ( BBC? ) and may be suspended from ’ fighting’ again!
Donkeyman!

OK maybe I should have worded my opening question differently.
Is/Was anyone interested in the outcome?

Not really!
