Deleting photos on a Panasonic HC-X1500

Decide to delete some photos in the camcorder by viewing in thumbnail pressing menu- thumbnail- clip -delete all/selected
What I didn’t know, and not shown anywhere I could find, is that it only deletes the photos in the format they were taken in, i.e MOV. Any taken in MP4/AVCHD format remain
to remove other photos means going into the associated format first.

Format the card and start again.

that is what I normally do Dood. however it depends on where you do the formatting.
Formatting on a computer may not be compatible with a camera or camcorder. You may find you have to format on the equipment the memory card is going into. I found this out from personal experience
