Deal Or No Deal is returning to our screens with a new host at the helm.
The original series, which was presented by Noel Edmonds for 11 years, launched in 2005 on Channel 4. Now, the series is making a comeback on ITV after a seven-year absence, the Mirror reports, with Stephen Mulhern taking over hosting duties.
The new series will see “a brand-new setting with brand-new prize boxes and a new batch of contestants.” Casting is currently underway for the new series of Deal or No Deal, a gameshow which sees contestants choose one of 22 boxes, each containing a cash amount between 1p and £250,000
I have only seen odd bits of the old programme - “odd” being the operative word! - I thought Noel Edmonds was a cringeworthy host.
I’m not sure if I know who Stephen Mulhern is - I just “googled” him and see that he has hosted quite a lot of shows but they are not the kind of shows I watch, so I’m not feeling any great excitement about him reviving this old game of luck with all the cheesy jokes.
