I remember one called Fine Fare in Cwmbran.
Central Cardiff isn’t exactly blessed with them now!
There is a Tesco near the CIA.
Struggling to think of any others.

Yes there was a Fine Fare in Canton.I didn’t think it was there in 1965 though.Although I was more interested in looking for the pubs in those days.

This was quite a big one,in 1972.

I remember that.
The big mystery to me is why Tesco have never come to Cwmbran(apart from an Extra store on an estate).
All the other big ones -and a couple of smaller ones-are dotted around the town centre.
Strange.

My local Tesco has been changed from a metro to an express and it hasn’t gone too well.The prices have gone up apparently.

First one i remember in Leeds was Fine Fare it was a big deal when Asda opened in Pudsey I remember going there every week for my shopping even though it was quite a trek to get there :shopping:

I think we had a Fine Fare in Marylebone High Street.
This was the only form of stamp collecting I got into as a kid.
