David Hockney says moving Bayeux Tapestry to UK is 'madness'

Interesting,

I’m not a fabrics or a security expert by any means. I know this has been on the cards for a little while and hasn’t been entirely without controversy. I’d very much like to see the tapestry at The British Museum. I wonder how much the tickets would cost

We shall see…

Hi

We shall see?

Only if you can afford the tickets. :grinning: :grinning:

Interesting d00d
I really wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more stroppiness and wringing of hands on this issue…

I am surprised the French aren’t concerned the British Museum will claim the Tapestry as belonging to them and refuse to give it back. The British have a bit of a history of that sort of thing.

I believe The Normans thought in a similar way Bruce

Weren’t they French? They probably wanted some of their stuff back. :icon_wink:

Oh well… let’s just keep the tapestry and consider it a reparation.
I’m sure Macron will be quite understanding :open_mouth:
