Daughter in law's father had covid jabs but still hospitalised

Hi

Sorry to hear the news for both of you.

Unfortunately infections are on the rise again.

Ooh this ruddy virus … I hope you’ll accept a virtual hug on behalf of all your family:

Carol and Summer, I am so sorry to read this about your in-law and daughter.

I hope that they are both improving and will soon be feeling much better.

Much Love to you all.

Carol and Summer, good thoughts are with you both and your families.

Hopefully you will see improvement soon in your loved ones.

Thanks for your well wishes everybody.

Stuart is still in hospital - they thought he had a blood clot on his lungs but thank goodness he didn’t.

What he does have now, apart from covid is pneumonia & an infection in his lungs.

So long as the antibiotics work I hope he soon should be improving.

I guess that is a little more encouraging for him at least, Carol.
Thanks for updating.

Excellent news.

Yes, good news indeed.
:023:

I’m pleased to say Stuart has turned the corner.

He’s still very weak & has to have a sleep after the simplest thing like having a wash.

They may be letting him come home in the next day or two. He needs to see a physiotherapist first. Paula said the weight’s just dropped off him & where his arm muscles used to be is just loose skin.

He has a long battle ahead.

That’s good news, Carol, but I must say, after someone being so very ill, why on earth are they even thinking about sending him home within the next day or two?
Didn’t they do this last time, and he had a relapse?

Yes they did Mups but then he got pneumonia and had to be re admitted.

I guess they just want to get rid of patients as soon as possible. Hopefully this time he will be ok.

That’s really positive news Carol.

Great to hear, Carol! Hope he continues to get better now

The vaccines reduce the of getting seriously ill, but they don’t guarantee that it won’t happen.

I think it was because Stuart is diabetic that he was so ill.

Good that he will be home soon, Carol. Must be welcome news all round!

Final update.

He’s coming home today.

Wonderful news!

Great news.

Great news Carol!
