According to this article, the son of the man who was killed by this XL Bully was breeding them and he had 3 of these “American Bullys” -

This so-called ‘breeder’ is in big trouble then, and it serves him right.
He is keeping and breeding dangerous dogs, possible illegal breeds, and carrying out illegal ear cropping as well.

Muddy, I am surprised if they are £1,000 though, as KC registered breeders are asking between £1,500 and £2.500 for my little Beddies even. And a few weeks ago I saw a litter of English Bulldogs selling at £8,000 EACH. How on earth can they justify that??

Some were a lot more than that but it was on Gumtree and / or preloved .
Presumably serious breeders will charge more and they are a bit of a niche market ie those of a thuggish persuasion .
It amazes me that people sell their pets even after years of owning them for no particular reason .
