If the yardstick is length of temporary deafness, the loudest I ever saw was Deep Purple - deaf for a week afterwards.
Saw Budgie just the once with Osibisa as support, Quite like Man had a live version of Spunk rock.
I know this song has been done to death, but this still surpasses all others.
Although this is a very close second. Both voices have that certain tingle factor, sadly lacking in many.
Just heard that Kraftwerk will return to my city next year, do hope i can catch up with them again.
Meanwhile pre Kraftwerk.
Those were the days graculus, far more improvised and experimental. Think thats Michael Rother on guitar. Only Hutter left from the original band now, however the stage show is supposed to be something else.
So I’ve heard. This is something fairly recent.
Yes things did move away from the improvisational, a shame really. Bands became far to formulaic, that’s why a lot of modern stuff leaves me cold, you may just as well stay at home and play the album.
I’ve been thinking about starting a CAN thread, just for educational purposes of course, but I think it would probably get even less input than this one or your previous attempts. Still it would be a good way of passing cold afternoons and evenings.
Yes Can have been very influential over the years, members turn up in the most unusual places.
A snippet from the Lost Tapes. Great set but the discs keep falling out.
But do they deserve their own thread?
Well im sure you and i can wax lyrical, but not sure the acolytes will be up for it.
