Cutting up a deadcat

Yes been messing about again to as they say “get to fit”. this microphone comes with a block underneath to mount onto a hotshoe on the top of a cameras , which is ok if that is what I wanted but I didn’t. The furry bit covered the whole microphone, but like that it made it too bulky to fit into the clip
Only answer was to cut off the end bit and make it short enough for just a bit of hair to go iner the clip to hold it in place. ow as shown fits nicely into the clip.
It is again supposed to be stereo and directional and works as such much not to the degree of the Azden
now here is the crafty part
if it is too windy for that microphone I can still use the Azden in the hotshoe and just plug that in instead. Now got the best of both worlds lightness or great wind protection. Or I could add exta lighting on the hotshoe instead
