Tried to cut my toenails today?
What a mission?
My big toes naailds were very long andthenail was impossible to cut due to being very tough
Maybe you need to go to a podiatrist, Donkeyman? Or a Chiropodist…not sure which one does toenails! The reason I say this, is because if you accidentally cut too much nail off, you could have an ingrowing toenail happen. Which is painful
Oooer! Blimey pixie you were quick and l was just messing about trying different things and then
You answered?? Bloody hell?
I shall bin this now and try to see what appended, Fanks for replying, will definitelyrecommend you
for promotion!! LOL!
Donkeyman!
Do you own an angle grider, Donkeyman?
Yes l do Barbie!
But my main problem stems from having arthritic hands and bent fingers plus not being able to
See wot l am doing?
So sadly your suggestion is not practical, but Fanks anyway
Donkeyman!
Barbie?
I have a problem cutting my toes nails too, but I find if I soak my feet in a bowl of hot soapy water for about 10/20 minutes it softens the nails enough to make it easier to cut them, I have clippers too.
Even the strongest and thickest of toenails can’t stand up to the strength of electrical side-cutters. Don’t be defeeted!
An affectionate nickname herbal?
A sign of freindlyness ??
Do you object?
Donkeyman!
Not if you think it suits me.
Yes, l have bought a purpose made set of side cutters for feet Mart but they take too big a bite and
lack leverage??
I think l will take your advice and get the real thing for next time ??l managed today by doing as Tiffany
said by soaking my feet in hot soapy water and used kitchen scissors !!
B TW l was only messing about on the new forum to test different functions when pixie answered
out of the blue! I was flabbergasted, as l thought l had deleted the post ??LOL !
Donkeyman!
Harbie then it is !!
Donkeyman!
Reminds me of the father ted sketch where they cut father jacks toenails,
@Donkeyman
Hi DM to soften your toe nails to make them easy to cut try soaking your feet in a bowl of hot water/soap/Epson salts (2 tbs).
It you are diabetic don’t try this without the permission of a doctor .
If you are a diabetic you shouldn’t be cutting your own toe nails anyway, go to a chiropodist, they are free on the NHS for diabetics, though I wish my Son would do that.
That’s what l did Meg, but not the Epsom salts though !!
All was well and l have taken a couple of short walks since
Happy to say l have no other health problems other than my eyes and being a bit loopy ?
Donkeyman!
I have difficulty but mine is because I have arthritic hips and knees and I can’t get at the darned things. I have numerous goes at them with much puffing and panting so get them cut a few at a time.
@GhF that’s me also GhF l get out of bref trying to get into the right position, and when l do
get there l can’t bloody see what l am doing !!
I did find though that soaking in warm soapy water first made things bearable!!
I’m due for a second session soon?
Donkeyman!
After the first lockdown I treated myself to a pedicure but the beautician’s seats are so low (about 9 ins from the floor) I had to sort of fall onto it and when I was finished to young assistants had to haul me back onto my feet again.
I don’t have difficulty cutting my toenails, “ Yet”…must be a right pain, Tiff.
