Ah GP surgeries are a law to themselves when it comes to their phone systems. The only alternative is to change to another surgery. Most people don’t do this so you can always google or NHS site review them.
It’s not usually the fault of the person at the other end that the company has a shambles. But if someone is being unhelpful I have decided I will put the phone down and try again with someone else.
Not here you can’t, they are all the same group.
I find the opposite here they give out telephone numbers willy nilly but trying to get something in writing is difficult. 24hour contact numbers are common and offer very good service but trying to find an email or postal address? forget it!
that’s too bad as everyone should have a choice of GP, but you can always vent your feelings on https://www.nhs.uk/services/gp-surgery where people can post reviews of surgeries. There are also google reviews.
I’m surprised they haven’t outsourced our customer services to Australia yet. We seem to have arrangements with quite a few English-speaking countries around the world.
Not all the call centres are in Australia but they are very good in my experience. I like the fact that most will call you rather than have you hang on if there is a queue.
