Cryptic Films

Sleeper?

Well done, that’s the one.

The clue referred to The It Girl (hence the capital T), the biggest selling album by the band Sleeper.

Thanks Devo. Hadn’t heard of the band.
Next: There’s a section in the contract regarding death.

Warkill?

No sorry Amac

I had never heard of this film till I came across it but it does fit the clue perfectly…

Slaughter Claus

Not that Devo. You’re looking for two synonyms.

Get the synonyms and you should be able to work it out. Again a well known film which did well.

Kill bill

The fifth estate?

Or

The Departed?

Well done Amac. The De(part)ed… All yours.

Thanks PR. I thought about that yesterday but since I’d done it in November I thought you wouldn’t repeat it that soon…

Next to follow.

A film I enjoyed, albeit some time ago:

The plainclothes police hero confused by employment laws.

As a latecomer Amac I hadn’t twigged, so there may be more that get inadvertently repeated!

El Cid??

Not that, PR. I’m not Charlton Heston’s biggest fan…

You were kind of starting off on the right path PR but the answer is a bit longer. This film did win a couple of Oscars but, despite nominations, not one of the main 4.

The Cider House Rules

You’ve got it PR, Well Done

The CID[er Ho]use Rules.

Over to you…

Thanks Amac. Yes a good film.
Next: In the post today an overdue letter arrived three weeks late.
