The film name will be obvious if you hit on the right dance. although the actual name came not from the dance but a British place name.
To the ear, the film starred a woman with a man’s name and a man with a woman’s name.

Brigadoonj starred Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly. A rigadoon is an old French dance.
