Cryptic Films

Seems like another insoluble clue.Devo.

It is a kick-self answer, I am prety sure. One word, a name, 1960s.

Oddly, the director’s previous and next film also had names for titles but with subject matter set over 1900 years apart.

Lolita (Didn’t see your last clue)

Well done - a kick-self moment?

I’ve been out most of the day so haven’t had much of a look at it but I was baffled until your penultimate clue. Next one to follow…

Next clue:

Cloakroom for feline themed dance event.

Cat Ballou

(Good one. Amac)

Who’s jump.

Cat Ballou

Right answer but too late Devo…

Doctor Sleep?

I’ll assume my answer’s right and post another one:

Scrooge gets the last of the money.

Misery

Correct Devo, your go.

A crosswordy one…

Cantos by Pound, recited half done on the Amazon.

This is a reasonably straightforward cryptic crossword style clue, albeit a slightly clumsy one.
The first element is archaic (I have only seen it used by Lewis Carroll in a fairly accurate but punning manner), the other two are less obscure. Instead of a definition of the answer there is a hint at it.

You’ve lost me completely with this one Devo - I’m going to leave it to the crossword compiler to have a punt. Gaun Yersel Arena!

Need a clue?

Doctor Sleep correct…

Sorry ,once again, I have no idea what Devo is getting at…
