At the time ( I was there) I gave the fielder the benefit of the doubt.
But I’m sure he touched the rope and it should have been six.
And we went on to lose.
Hi Mr Furry .
There was a bit of hopping and skipping going on.
I believe the decision was right …out !
A tough call , his foot did touch the boundary but well after the ball was caught.
Yeah…that is the point.Even though he had completed the catch he then stepped on the rope making it a six.
That is the rule( you often see in TV games fielders in the deep checking where their feet are when completing a catch-you can’t touch the rope at any time).
It’s why he threw it up and stepped infield and caught it again.
Fooled the umpires…
We might still have lost but what Ethan Brookes did does not sit easy with me.
And I’d be saying the same if a Glamorgan player had claimed that catch.
I didn’t know that ….
In that case you were robbed.
But that’s cricket .
not out. that wasn’t cricket was it?very sneaky.
I’m sure he knew he touched the rope…but in the circumstances you had to take the word of the fielder.
I haven’t seen the clip on the Warwickshire feeds
