Probably due to EU interference as most of our vaccines come from the Netherlands.
Hi
Planned downtime is the official reason, they are upgrading plants to increase production.
They bottle it in Wrexham and there is a shortage of Bottles.
The EU has hundreds of thousands of the Oxford jab, but because they slagged it off people in the EU are refusing it.
The Pfizzer jab I know nothing about.
Good job we left the EU when we did, we would be in the same mess as them
Thanks Swim…
Silly me, I should have realised that the only way to get factual unbiased news is from the BBC and Main Stream Media…
That’s not worthy of you, OGF.
Most of us here have the ability to determine what is likely to be fact and what isn’t. We make up our own minds.
Hi
I am no expert on the Pfizer vac, in fact I know very little about it.
The Oxford Vaccine I know a lot more about, very confident in it and strongly believe the EU have made a right mess of it.
As they have excess stocks of it due to there stupidity, there should be no problem in them releasing it to us.
They can have our Pziver we do not need after we have given our own their second jab.
So it’s got nothing to do with the price of the Pfizer vaccine?
It is £10 per shot, whereas the Astra/Oxford is only around £2 per shot?
Is there really a shortage of the Pfizer, or they are realising how much it is costing?
But to discount anything and everything that appears on twitter is a very narrow minded approach JB…I thought teachers were supposed to encourage research? From all sources…
Well I’ve saved them a tenner Arty…
Again, I make up my own mind!
I don’t follow Twitter, having heard and seen what many of the ‘Twitterati’ are like.
As for this particular chap, hasn’t he been banned from Twitter?
Oh, and I’m not a teacher any more, though I’m all in favour of research. In fact, that’s exactly what I have done to make up my own mind!
Foxy, Perhaps, you could request to have the £10 put of a gift card for a supermarket of your choice!!
It might offset the cost of all the masks I’ve been having to buy…
Just to clarify . Asking for a friend who asks me “ what if you have Covid but Asymptomatic when you go for your vaccine ?
I suppose we are over there looking for our roots Brucy ??
Donkeyman!
PS. You won't get it you haven't been here lately !
Apparently, being ‘Asymptomatic’ is not as common as we are led to believe. And there is also some doubt about someone being able to spread the virus who is ‘Asymptomatic’ If it hasn’t affected your throat and nasal passages there are no spores to be shed… More likely that a positive test on someone who has experienced no symptoms has probably had a mild dose and didn’t recognise the illness as covid.
Also, a positive test would come back even if you had covid six or eight weeks ago, perhaps even longer. When you would be long past the infectious stage, which only lasts for ten days max, otherwise quarantine would be for a longer period.
Cases UP,. Vaccinations DOWN !!
Covid vaccinations going DOWN again!
Covid cases going UP again!
Just saying??
Donkeyman!
I also see on BBC news last night that second jabs have risen to over
1,000,000 now, so that may explain some of the above ??
Donkeyman!
Primus, have you been given a rearranged date for your 2nd jab yet?
My younger sister received a text this morning telling her to book an appointment at the same pharmacy that I went to. She had problems getting through on her phone so called the phone number they gave her. They told her she would have to phone back in a few days as there are no available appointments now.
At the end of January I booked my first jab, via my PC, and had a choice of a number of dates and times, so I think I will try to book my sisters on my PC & see if things are different.
If there are still problems I can only assume that we are having difficulty getting supplies from the EU.
Primus, do you know if your first jab was an Astra Zenecca one?
Twink, Primus had the Pfizer vaccine…
