Covid-19 Vaccinations

Well, I had mine today. So far no ill effects. Not even the jab, Tubby…

They do say you shouldn’t risk unsafe travel to get the jab Ember, so get a local weather forecast. I hope it all goes well but I suggest you then put your feet up for a couple of days & relax. I know a few people who have felt a bit tired after their vaccination… so don’t start building a snowman!

Glad to hear it Besoeker :023:

Thanks Dingalingalong…

One your heroes… oooooh you old smoothie

Blimey FoxyLoxy - 3 weeks in bed after the flu jab? Was that a reaction to the jab?

(PS I’ve never had the flu jab and never will no not never not).

Aaah, I’m sorry to hear about your gout petal …
I’m just going to hot foot it into your thread now - see what it’s all about…
(Geddit, hot foot it? ;-))

No it was the flu Pesta, probably not the one I received the vaccine for, but it put me off ever having the flu jab ever again. ‘Hot Foot’ Yes very droll Pesta…:cool2:
To say my toe was hot is an understatement, but Mrs Fox has fried two eggs on it for us tea…:042:

:-p:-p

Hi

If you already have the virus, even with no symptoms, you will get a reaction.

This is the vaccine doing it’s job.

I am not allowed the vaccine for 28 days after testing positive.

Vaccination done  and I didn’t have long to wait in the biting cold. I am so relieved we missed the snow this morning.

I had the AZ vaccine the PB which I thought we might have had living n Worcestershire as it is supposed to be more effective against the South African variant now recorded here though I gather we won’t know how prevalent it is for 2 weeks.
Maybe the second dose in 3 months may address this, not that I am complaining being lucky enough to live in a country with any vaccine available  .

No after effect as yet though I have plenty of home made soup and ginger cordial at the ready in case I do

Brilliant Meg! Glad it went smoothly for you and you’re feeling ok at the moment’

Your home made soup and ginger cordial at the ready just in case was good thinking!

Well done! Hopefully no after effects/side effects. A couple of our neighbours had slight discomfort on the following morning so I hope you have none of that or very minimal.

Mags  old Girl Guides never die, they just shrivel up but remain ‘prepared’ at all times

Thnks B  not worried about any discomfort if it means my antibodies have got going

Brilliant Meg, I bet you are glad that is out of the way…

…oh yes Bob  thank you.

Meg I am pleased to hear you have now had your vaccination.
I had the AZ one, yet no feeling sick, just very painful muscles & feeling very tired…so make sure you don’t do too much , get plenty of rest and, if you can, take paracetamol for any pain.
I have to say that I wasn’t surprised that you didn’t have to wait long, I was very impressed by the speed & efficiency of the pharmacy that did mine. they even sent me back to my car for 15 mins after, checked I was ok and waved me off home. …so it was all very safe!

So pleased that it went well Meg and the snow kept away. I felt such a sense of relief when I had mine - the tiny light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Thank you Twink  it is a relief and I am taking things easy for the next 24 hours . I have been hoping for a vaccine since last February when my Daughter in law told me to go home and stay there till there was one. She had training in dealing with Pandemics and was ahead of the game.

Thanks Margaret  the snow arrived at lunch time so not a moment too soon. I won’t be changing my behaviour any time soon but feel I have one foot on the ladder to freedom now

I’ll certainly second that Meg!

Meg, l am so pleased you got your vaccine at last and that the snow stayed off.
You even sound brighter and more upbeat. I suppose just the relief of getting the vaccine and feeling a little more safe has helped.

Well done Meg, now you can feel easier within yourself. Fingers crossed you sail through it me duck with no after effects. BTW, I wouldn’t mind a bit of your ginger cordial, I love anything ginger (drooling smiley).

Just as an aside, I did the Yellow Card thing today on the freephone number and logged everything. Thanks again for the link :023:

Hi Pesta  I hope you are feeling better today .
I love ginger too, it is my go to for all ills
