It’s a sad state of affairs, isn’t it … 
In th’ole days I’d spend half the day talking to neighbours and passers-by but nowadays I restrict any chance meeting to the briefest of courtesies …

I know 
At a time when we need each other more, we are forced further apart.
I tend to speak more to older neighbours that live round about, many of whom are on their own - but again its masks and 6 ft apart, even outside.
