From the .gov site
And your point is?
Just keeping it real Omah
No, youâre not.
Itâs real data from the .gov website. Why do you think itâs not genuine?
Whatâs real about it?
Itâs a comparative graph - whatâs it compared to, i.e. the previous non-overlapping 7-day period?
are you questioning the validity of the .gov website data?
No, Iâm questioning your intent.
What is the point that you are trying to make?
My intent? I told you that I am just keeping it real. Here is a different presentation of the data for the last month - is this preferable?
TBH, Iâm saving my presentation of that graph until all the data is in and been processed.
If thatâs all youâre offering then Iâm off out.
Thatâs an interesting graph Annie
No figures have been available since 31 December but headline statistics will be released later on Monday.
NHS Grampianâs head of health intelligence Jillian Evans said data from her region suggested cases were still doubling every three days. She said it would be a âcrunch weekâ for understanding the variantâs impact.
The most recent figures showed there were 11,962 cases reported on New Yearâs Eve, but that may be an underestimate due to the volume of positive tests leading to delays in reporting results. The previous day 16,867 positive tests were announced, the highest daily figure since the start of the pandemic in early 2020.
Ms Evans told BBC Scotlandâs Seven Days: âIt will all change this week because schools will go back and it will become very obvious in terms of case numbers and their impact. I think this is the crunch week for us as we begin to see the impact of those high cases and schools going back, the intergenerational effects of mixing over Christmas - all of that will start to be shown now in the data. It will become very real to people not just in the health but also in possible disruption to their ways of life.â
Headline figures for cases, deaths, positivity and hospital numbers will be published on Monday and Tuesday, with fuller data released on Wednesday.

Did i read that BJ was making an announcement at 5pm? I know Nicola is doing one tomorrowâŠ
Youâre right, he is âŠ
Iâve been busy with builders - has BJ said anything important âŠ
No⊠he has been as confusing and as bumbling as ever. No restrictions now, but cases are rising tremendously. Its milder, but people are still in hospital. Get boosted, even though they donât last long.
I think he has had a haircut too.
Iâm glad I never waste my time watching his âperformancesâ, then âŠ
