I’m guessing like me people have gone out to get some to prepare for Christmas socialising. I wasn’t ever planning on doing this but then we had a club Christmas meal and a friend said it was the right thing to do before you go. Makes sense. But I am guessing that is why, just more people getting them pre holidays etc. Or could just be yet more supply issues. Who knows these days we find out on a need to know basis.
Well i do hope people are not going to do another toilet roll hoarding type thing.
Pharmacies need to act NOW, and limit the number of boxes people can have, else there will be those who go from shop to shop grabbing the lot.
Imagine panic buying virus testing kits…the mind boggles at the kind of society we will have become

Dangerously High …
What a jump in 24 hours eh? Very scary…
Indeed … who expected that massive leap …
The UK’s daily confirmed Covid cases all-time high of 78,610 beat the previous record of 68,053 on 8 January 2021.
I thought a steep rise was expected.
Indeed but the equivalent rise of 600,000 a month is a bit startling …

Out of Control …
That depends on the severity of symptoms. What worries me more are the numbers being admitted into hospital - over 6000 in the last 7 days.
In the news, the UK is breaking records on a daily basis and Europe is expecting yet another wave. Its relentless.
This is largely before the massive wave of Omicron hits us.
Indeed it is … expect 1,000,000 a day soon …
For crying out loud…would another lockdown help d’you think?
It seems that the answer may be yes or no or somewhere in between, but BJ persistently leaving back doors open for COVID variants to enter and spread will undo any lockdown benefits …
I realised after I had posted that comment, it was unlikely. They took the 11 countries off the red list, so couldn’t very well lockdown after doing that. But hey, its Boris…he does what he wants then U-turns anyway so…
Given the exponential rate of increase in the number of cases then restrictions on social activity seem inevitable but what form they would take is, as yet, unknown.
I don’t think BJ would go for a full lockdown, though …
I suppose at a pinch Boris might follow Wales … but the hospitality industry will be crying for recompense.
