Our hospitalisations & deaths are falling, up here, but cases are rising…
Here’s yet another story reporting that Omicron is much less severe than Delta was/is (yes, I know it’s the D Express):
Omicron may not be a killer but it may yet prove to be a major incapacitator.
Time will tell.

Boris Johnson said the new variant was also resulting in hospital admissions and the “best thing” people could do was get their booster jab.
On Monday, Mr Johnson said people needed to recognise “the sheer pace at which [Omicron] accelerates through the population”.
Heavens that is awful…!

Are we heading for the next level …
Well I’ve just had a negative test after going out for a Christmas meal on Saturday. They really need to sort out the test kit shortages as that is the best way forward.
My local pharmacy had no test kits this afternoon, and no idea when they might be getting any either.
I managed to get two packs on Saturday before all this panic started. Even then I had to try two chemists. Boots had run out my local pharmacy had some.
Whats going on Annie?
Why haven’t they got any all of a sudden?
How are people supposed to prove they are negative if they dont know anymore?
And even worse, anyone who is infected wont know, so wont be isolating.
