Deaths and hospitalisations are still major causes for concern …
The UK will reach the grim milestone of COVID-19 100,000 deaths within the next two days.
I just seen the “Look into my eyes” … distressing but I think most viewers will take a “comfort break” while it’s on … they know it will never happen to them or their family …

PM confirms data on easing restrictions will be assessed before mid-February
Speaking at a COVID-19 vaccination site at Barnet Football Club in north London, the PM said: "We’re looking at the data as it comes in, we’re looking at the rates of infection, as you know the JCVI [Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation] groups 1 to 4 [on the priority list] will be vaccinated by February 15.
"Before then we’ll be looking at the potential of relaxing some measures.
“But don’t forget this country has made huge progress in reducing infection, I don’t think people want to see another big surge in infection.”

The PM has said he hopes a “gradual and phased” relaxation of Covid restrictions can begin in early March.
Boris Johnson told MPs he intended to set out a plan for how the lockdown in England could be eased and the criteria involved in the final week of February.
Factors will include death and hospitalisation numbers, progress of vaccinations and changes in the virus.

Cases, deaths and hospitalisations are all now major causes for concern …
The number of Covid infections remained virtually unchanged in the week to 23 January, Office for National Statistics figures suggest.
Infections remain high in England, with London continuing to have the worst epidemic, the ONS said. But the virus appears to be levelling off throughout the rest of the UK.
The ONS tests a random sample of people in private residences across the UK for Covid weekly, whether they have symptoms or not. This means the survey is among the best sources for understanding what’s really happening to the virus.

The UK has carried out the highest number of coronavirus vaccinations in one day, government figures show.
The figures show 598,389 received their first dose on Saturday.
The previous record was set last Saturday when the UK reported 491,970 doses in a single day.
It brings the total number of people to receive their first dose of a Covid vaccine to 8,977,329, with another 491,053 receiving their second dose.
Public Health England’s Dr Susan Hopkins expects to start seeing the impact of vaccinations in the next two weeks.
Excellent news … :!:
Vaccination, as rolled out by the NHS, is, so far, a phenomenal success story and puts the privately-run test and trace service (run by “Incompetent” Harding) to shame - the latter has only now, after months of totally inadequate testing (costing £22,000,000,000!), started to achieve its’ targets … Well done, the NHS …
