Could You Eat Baked Beans On Top Of Your Weetabix?

Depends what you have on the salad Bruce, although, I do like them straight out of the tin too,…

I think I’d enjoy beans and bixs .
I’ve always treated W’bix like bread and jam .
I’d certainly tolerate bixs and beans more than porridge and beans :018:

Oooh Ripple, l don’t think l could eat Weetabix with jam, never mind beans!!
Are you going to give the Weetabix and beans a try? If so, please report back with your verdict!

Will give it a try tomorrow … if you don’t hear from me I’ll be in the loo

Ripple, l am getting worried… are you still in the loo?

No she is not, I’m in here.

I like baked beans on toast. Eating Weetabix with beans maybe isn’t such a big step away. Not a combination I’d have thought of but the idea doesn’t sicken me and I’d give it a try if presented with it.

I’ve gone right off Weetabix since they recently “improved” the recipe by adding fibre. By “fibre” they mean bits that stop your teeth in mid-chew and ruins the texture. :frowning:

Oh! Did you notice that too? I switched to Oatabix due to that. Also I found that Weetabix lies heavy on my stomach these days, so not for me anymore.

A couple of bowls of weetabix with beans and I reckon I could repair the lath & plaster ceiling in my cellar.:shock:

I said to Mrs mart she should try Oatibix, so he did. The verict is that it contains more fat and calories and doesn’t taste as nice as Weetabix. Decided to go back to Weetabix and having it stick to the teeth. Looks like I’ll be giving the birds a treat.

Aww that’s a shame, Mart. Never mind, at least the birds will be happy!

Is that with or without the baked beans Mart?

It should do but I usually give them shredded tweet.

She didn’t try that combination as far as I know but I might tell her people have said it tastes really nice, just to see if she will.

:044::044::044:Good one!

I never even heard of wheatabix, but based on some of these post it sounds nauseating. And baked beans on top of it ? Yuck.
I’ll never understand why Brits eat so many kinds of yucky foods. Seriously folks, WW-2 is over. Food rationing has stopped. Why not eat something delicious like French toast, with plenty of maple syrup ? It’s simple and really, really easy to make.

Now does this look much better ?

Oh that looks lovely Bakerman! I do enjoy french toast. Weetabix is a versatile food - along with toast…hey we also have beans on toast too, y’know!

Weetabix has low fat content compared to other cereals. Good for dieting.
