Don’t really know for sure but I doubt it, he would have been sacked for bringing show into disrepute like several others have been and I don’t think any of them were paid off.
No, if he’s been dismissed for gross misconduct, the contract can end immediately with no pay from that point onwards (other than for work already completed).
In the programme though, it’s fictitous and the baddy always gets caught in the end

With storylines like this I increasingly suspend belief and it spoils my enjoyment of the show.
If only Cameron could kill Sean before he goes, that would be good.

Beverley Callard supposed to be returning this Autumn, I would rather she didn’t too. Haven’t heard about Jim returning, but they aren’t supposed to be married anymore, so they don’t both need to return.
Michelle Keegan gave in her notice before Fountain was sacked, as I was surprised to hear she wouldn’t leave till next year. Not bothered about M Collins, could take or leave her.

Exactly. I found that bit of ‘storyline’ irritating to watch; I know it was meant to be funny but it just wasn’t. Whoever is writing this stuff needs to be replaced as sometimes, Corrie is coming across a bit farcical as opposed to humorous.
