Thanks Omah, that’s interesting.

Despite several stranded Australians registering their details with the Government, at least five families say they were not notified of the departing flights, and were left behind.

The ABC has seen emails from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) telling families there were “no plans currently for any more Australian Government assisted departure flights”.

New Zealand evacuated 98 New Zealanders, and also gave spare seats to people from 12 countries — including 35 from Australia, 17 from Timor Leste and 17 from Papua New Guinea, according to a spokesperson from New Zealand’s Parliament.

According to Reuters, Singapore has evacuated 266 people in two flights from Wuhan. The country’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan, said last Monday in Parliament that the Government “will not leave” any Singaporean behind.

A Melbourne resident said her mother was going to run out of medication soon. The 69-year-old has also developed severe insomnia.

“There are lots of problems and uncertainty if the [Australian] Government is leaving us here,” she said.

An A&E worker in Woking confirmed as well as https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7993521/Drug-dealer-extradited-Thailand-collapses-Oxfordshire-jail-suspected-coronavirus.html fetching the total to 8 .

My daughter is a teacher in a primary school in Brighton. She had only three pupils in yesterday as they were given the choice to attend or stay at home.

First case in London announced this afternoon? If this report is correct it was only going to be a matter of time ? https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/first-coronavirus-case-confirmed-in-london-as-deadly-bug-hits-capital/ar-BBZVAY7?li=BBoPWjQ&item=personalization_enabled:false

I agree. People are beginning to slip through the cracks. In the U.S., one patient who was in quarantine was accidentally released. According to the news, there were two people with very similar names in the facility. The released patient has the virus.

Moreover, I keep hearing about disease control agencies, “Trying to locate people from various flights”. Not a good sign.

Does anyone happen to know if the coronavirus is expected to “burn itself out” when the weather starts to warm up (like the flu does) ?

There’s been talk of it bakerman …by May .

just in time for my Birthday

Seriously though, I hope it bogs off before then, it’s quite worrying.

A week on from their emergency Wuhan evacuation, most of the Australians sent to Christmas Island from China due to the coronavirus outbreak are past the halfway mark of their 14-day quarantine period.

It has sparked a new exercise in logistics with plans to return them home in full swing, coordinated by a cast of government, health and military officials on the island.

It is expected the first group who left Wuhan on a Qantas evacuation flight will be allowed to fly home on Monday.

They will board buses and be driven along the jungle-lined roads to Christmas Island’s small airport.

The drive will be slow to avoid the world-famous red crabs and their larger relatives, the robber crabs, which are given right of way on the island’s roads.

Yes it is ,just imagine how many that one now confirmed case in London has come in contact with since leaving China ? Might well have been more people either already infected leaving on that flight or picked it up during the flight? Or even be carriers ? I heard just now the Brighton man hasn’t been all that ill despite being a carrier .
The virus could be anywhere now anyway ?As the WHO guy said yesterday treat it as public enemy number one at the moment .

Do they even know for sure how it came about yet?
I was hearing talk about the disgusting meat markets, but was that proven or guess work?
