Coronation Street

Hi

Apologies, I could not resist it.

No problem Swimmy

Didn’t Michelle have a grown up son once upon a time?

I’m glad Michelle has done one…I used to like her, but she has turned out nasty and vindictive all of a sudden. Nobody on the cobbles can take the moral high ground because they have all done things in the past they should be ashamed of…

Are those noises in the flat Andy’s body trying to get out after Phelan plastered him up into the wall…I think the writers of ‘Coronation Street’ are getting confused with ‘Midsommer Murders’…:shock::shock:

Yes. Broadchurch is like Midsummer too. A small town with more than its fair share of murders!

I’m wondering if we’ll ever hear about Andy again. He seems to have been forgotten about.

Did anyone notice how odd Liz’s face looked tonight? It looked puffy and kind of . . different shape. Even all the make up didn’t hide it.
Something definitely didn’t look right. Has she had surgery or something?

Oh she always looks weird!

But what annoys me always, is Sinead saying Auntie Beth each time. Yes dear, we know she’s your Auntie, but you’re an adult, not a child! And even children rarely say it nowadays!

Yes, it’s amazing what wonders plastic surgery can do for the over-90s.

No, seriously JBR, I thought she looked ‘different.’

Well, none of us are getting younger.

Although you wouldn’t believe that if you saw me in real life.

I lost an aunt last year and until the day she died I called her Auntie Peggy.

I don’t see what’s so strange about that.

I still called my aunt, Auntie Betty, when she was in her 90s … and she always signed birthday and Christmas cards Auntie Betty. It didn’t seem strange to me either…

Just me then, lol.

Think so Jazzi, I would have felt strange calling Aunties just by their first name. Maybe it’s a northern thing?

I ain’t got any real aunties now.
Except auntie Jazzi and auntie Summer.

I do.

How on earth did ‘Margaret’ become ‘Peggy’?

I didn’t see the point of that scenario with Todd and the set-up ghost thing. It wasn’t funny, didn’t lead anywhere and wasn’t even funny. Did they just have a spare 10 minutes to fill or what?

You can find an answer to that but it still doesn’t seem a good reason for Margaret becoming Peggy.

Peggy is a female first name derived from Meggy, a diminutive version of the name Margaret.

Sorry, I seem to have repeated “funny” in my post! Shows how unfunny I thought it was …

Unless the flat is really haunted, and really spooks Phelan! Now wouldn’t that be a joy to watch!
