I’m afraid that Queer Street has become just about as boring as it could possibly get.
The same storylines continue without end; the same lines are spoken until they are repeated every episode.
And where the hell is Geoff?
We have the programme on, every episode (on catch-up). Marge watches it, I suppose, but I have my laptop in front of me to give me something more interesting to do. Marge has promised to let me know if Geoff should return and make another appearance!
Hah, that’s just how I felt too.
The name of the bloke with Carla?
I agree with all that Foxy, especially the hi-lighted bits.
They are not going to let Oliver die as a grand finale on Christmas day I hope!!
Newer viewers won’t even know who Geoff is if he ever reappears!
You’ve described Emma and Nick to a tee Jazzi, I couldn’t agree more about Emma. I hope she is acting the part because nobody could be that docile…Oh! wait a minute, she’s definitely Steves daughter, they couldn’t make a good brain between them…
With the recent storylines I don’t think there would be any ‘New Viewers’ Mupsy…And poor Yasmin has served her sentence and she hasn’t even been convicted of anything yet… Can they do that?
Which one Mups, I think everyone on the cobbles has slept with everyone else at some point, even some of the blokes…Errrrrrr…
The Geoff/Yasmeen storyline has been the one that’s gripped me this year. At it’s hight I was really hating that man - remember when he made her eat Charlotte?
I do wish they hadn’t let it go off the boil though!!
I know they’re keeping it for Christmas but it wouldn’t hurt to have a few rumbles before…
I can never understand how nobody ever found the camera Carol. There is nowhere in our lounge that Mrs Fox doesn’t clean or dust at some point. Absolutely no chance of hiding anything in our house…
The way things are going, if they really are keeping anything interesting until Christmas, there’ll be no-one left watching by then!
I most enjoy Maureen Lipman’s scenes. IMO she (and Geoff of course) are the only people worth watching. That pointless male make up scenario with Sean and that black bloke - what was that all about?
Yes, I agree.
Maureen Lipman brought a much needed professional actress to the dross which Queer Street has become. One or two older members of the cast have also disappeared, reducing the professionalism of the programme.
In fact, I feel it has become not much more than a showpiece for the woke movement.
It was once the most popular regular programme on television too, but I suppose all good things must come to an end.
I wonder if Covid restrictions/isolating will mean the end of the older members of the cast…Bill Roache, Barbara Knox, Sue Nicholls etc. As in, do you think they will ever return?
Could be. I haven’t seen them for weeks!
They are being kept safe until the covid scare is over as are all the older ones.
They will be back - I’m sure of it!
Mind you - how come Maureen Lipman is still making an appearance?
Because she is a tough old boot Carol…
What? After all the anticipation about the Geoff/Yasmin trial, has no one got anything to say about the verdict?
Do you think she’s seen the last of him, cos I don’t.
Yes! Things suddenly began to become much more interesting. The trial was excellent, especially when Geoff’s expression changed from ‘confident’ to ‘oh my god’!
So Yasmin is now proven innocent and free. Good.
Marge and I said, together, “Now we come to the bit about Geoff getting his comeuppance”. We both reckon that they’re going to drag this story out until the inevitable Christmas special comes along.
And, sure enough, he’s decided to run away.
I can’t wait to see what happens next, but I’m sure things for him will go from bad to worse!
We can live in hope JBR.
I think he will want revenge.
One thing I didn’t understand was, would he really have been allowed to walk out of court like that?
He wasn’t on trial. However, his performance there will be a gift to Yasmin if she wants to bring charges. She should!
