Was out just before 7 with Holly. Cool breeze for now, but it is set to be very hot for the day, so I will be trying to keep her cool. I may sling a sheet over the two washing lines again, to provide some shade, as I did recently when the ladies were here.
I may also fiddle about with some window mesh and see where it can be fitted. Don’t like keeping windows open especially overnight, in case of creepy crawlies.
Whatever I do today won’t involve too much physical exertion. Everything can wait till this mini heatwave is over.
Good morning all, had brekkies outside, quite warm, then Tesco click and collect at 9am, then call at the farm shop for more. Packed it all away and had my coffee and cake in the garden room. Then a slow wander round the garden, i usually have a word with each flower, shrub or tree, and not forgetting the birdies. Thats worn me out, getting warmer so shorts and t shirt and a tec it eezzee day
Late reply but still “chit chat” been to work did not melt and home tomorrow all day so shall hopefully managed to stay cooler, look after yourselves people

Instead of the cafe meet today (closed for this week), one of the ladies has invited us into her garden. Due to commitments, it will just be four of us, but we all get on extremely well, so I’m looking forward to it.
Apart from that, it will be spent keeping me and the dog cool. Got her out just after 6.30 for her morning walk.
Heat is rising, well think its the humidity or lack of it not sure rather than heat. Not complaing at all prefer it to the wind.
Doctors this mornign for my yearly MOT. Then did some household admin car booked in for service and MOT tomorrow, annual boiler service booked in for next Thursday.
Morning all been a hot week so far but today overcast, so had swim and cooked breakfast full English and now getting sorted to go off to Hastings for a walk about and some sea food and ice creams have a good day

Left home at 8.35 to get to other side of town for the opening of our new Sainsburys. (At long last!!!). The queue wasn’t that bad by the time I’d parked and got a trolley, and we just had about 10-15 minutes wait. I got stuff that I can’t get elsewhere, and got more trays of dog food.
Sitting out the garden having had a snack and cuppa, and can hear the pack of dogs over the back being noisy. I think my own mutt wants to go out, so I will walk her shortly.
