Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Anyways, I will be waiting around for an Amazon delivery from Hermes, my new garden truck/trolley. Hoping it will be sooner in the day rather than later, as I hate wasting my time when I could be out doing something constructive. The allotment for a start, if it stays dry. I am hoping to transport my seedlings there in this new purchase, but first need to prep some ground. Bet all the weeds have sprouted again, where I don’t have the tarp covering.

Spose I can find something to do here.
No idea what to have for main meal.

Morning all, late this morning because we had a longer than usual walk and met more dog walkers than usual to stand and chat to…

No plans set in stone here but I have to nip to Mum’s and do some gardening for her if it stays dry… some hope though!

Enjoy your day everyone

Morning everyone, overcast and drizzle here and forecast to continue all day, so not quite the spring we were hoping for up to

No plans for the day, I was hoping to go and do mum’s grass and dig up a few weeds, but unless the weather improves I think that I’ll leave it until another day.

Hope you are all well and have a decent day.

Good morning all.
Got a bit of sunshine in between the clouds. More rain? I expect so.
My cleaning lady brought me a pond filter and fountain thingy that she don’t want anymore. So that’s a job to do when I get a waterproof cable connector that I have ordered from eBay.
As usual, lunch at Morrisons and a bit of shopping, and then dinner at my daughter’s this evening.

Morning all.

Horrible weather here. Rain and windy with it, so a very swift dog walk. I had wanted to grab some free compost from the council this morning but sure don’t want to bother in this weather. The plan was to get it straight to the allotment but everywhere is likely to be soggy, so I think it’s a no from me.

Plan B. To blanch and freeze a pack of parsnips.

Good morning everybody.

It’s our daughter in law Paula’s birthday today so we’ll be going over there this afternoon.

No other plans.

Have a good day all…

I wish her a very happy birthday, Carol.

After the rain stopped I decided to shop at Tescos. As I had the car I went along to where the compost was available and some very obliging man half filled my two bags and got them into the boot. I opened up a new tarpaulin to keep the car clean. Drove round to the allotment, backed up to my plot and dragged the bags out. A lady helped me get them into place, maybe as I had told her about the compost delivery.

Then spent a fair bit of money in the supermarket.

Home to a quick bite and coffee, walk the dog and phone older sister back. Not good news about our brother. (That’s for another time).

Morning all.

Not sure what I shall do today. Maybe I should start thinking about packing up for Monday, when Holly and I go to the next holiday. I don’t want to leave anything behind this time.

I have my seedlings to plant but not sure the weather is kind enough yet. Grassy areas need strimming though. That, maybe?

Good morning all.
It’s not so nice out this morning. Cloudy and cold.
I expect that as usual daughter and I will go ‘up the mount’ for a brows around the shops, and then go for lunch in ‘La rocha’. That’s just one of the many eating places there. They do some super omelet’s.

Morning Jan, happy holidays for next week…:sunglasses:

Morning all, dull again here at the moment with low cloud and drizzle, but forecast to brighten up after lunch…

Just pottering in the garden for me today, the only big job being clipping the privet/holly hedge along the side boundary, which will no doubt then necessitate a trip to the tip.

Enjoy your day folks

Good afternoon everybody.

Just house cleaning here today.

Janet you should sit down & make a list & keep it in your suitcase.
That’s what I did after one holiday of forgetting a few things. Now I pack to my list & never forget anything.

Have a good day all…

Yes, have started the list. And already done a bit of packing/organising.

Morning all, cloudy here, but the wind has dropped and I think the sun is trying to come out.

Have a nice break Janet and see you on Tuesday.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
I think winter has returned in my space of our world. Yes it is cold, so time to hibernate again.
Nothing yet planed for today, so will just let it happen.

Morning all.

I am still quite cold here, and put heating on some hours ago for awhile.

Shall do a roast for lunch, beef slices, with cauli cheese, in between packing and organising. Might change bed linen today, and get a clothes wash on.

Morning everyone, misty here first thing but the sun is breaking through now so looks like being nice…

Just another garden pottering around day for me, and I might tidy the workshop if I can be bothered…

Enjoy your day peeps…

Good morning everybody.

I had the worst insomnia ever last night! I didn’t get a single wink of sleep. I can’t figure out why? I’d been working hard all day - cooking, cleaning & ironing, my mind was peaceful I read my book, I listened to soothing music but I just didn’t feel like dropping off to sleep.

My eyes feel a bit gritty this morning - they need some ‘tired eye’ drops. I’ve got some somewhere.

Anyway, not to worry. I’ll liven up when I get out in the garden. It’s my mission today to get it tidied a bit.
I’m expecting to be nodding off to sleep in front of the TV tonight though…

Have a good day all…

I sometimes get nights like that, Carol, for no rhyme nor reason. Hope you get some tonight.

Good morning all.
It looks like it’s going to turn out nice again. Got a warm sun and blue sky in places.
Ok. So Sainsburys shortly, and then my daughter said she is going to drag me out as she has to get a special lock.
So a walk to the station, and one stop to the road where this shop is.
