Chinese New year will be on 29th Jan. Something to look forward to or not? The year of the snake is coming!
One of my sons was born in the Year of the Snake, so it is supposed to be an auspicious year for him.
It depends which of the five elements he is born under (water, fire, wood, earth, metal).
In other words in which year he was born as every 12 years cycle means a change of element for each zodiac animal.
The article above from the South China Morning Post explains it very well.
@AnnieS Thanks for the article.
I did not have time yet to investigate what the Snake year has in store for us.
Every year we have a lovely family party and read the predictions for every family member, they are very long and detailed and a cause of joy and laughter for all.
Even better with Chinese dumplings …
I, too, am a snake, I have known that for most of my life, but I only found
out recently, that because I was born in 1941, I am a Gold Snake.
