Card for a 90th Birthday!

The commission was a 90th birthday card - for someone named Rose, who was in the Land Army and who still goes Line Dancing and Ballroom Dancing, loves Flowers and Ducks. I think I have ticked all boxes! Posted it this morning - off to the wilds of Lincolnshire. I hope they like it.

As an aside, has anyone else had a load of ads when you scroll down? On this thread it happens to be a load on Ancestry.co. How appropriate!

Only the one ad at the bottom of the posts and that’s someone called Hammonds.

Thanks @Morticia . Blows my theory out of the water then. Was wondering if the tags generated related ads.

That’s just brill and I love you’ve worked all the elements, it couldn’t be more personal. Well done you, she’ll love it :balloon:

Have you mentioned this lady before?Perhaps you did last years too.

They set up a land army in my father’s village.By the end of the war quite a few of the girls were married to the locals including one to my uncle.

I may have mentioned her when I first received the commission, Smiffy, have not made a birthday card for her before.

I’ve always wondered how long they take to make … they look so detailed and intricate.

That one took a couple of days to do the research, choose some pictures, and print them out. Half a day to design and print the backing papers. Half a day to cut and compile the decoupage on the front and to do the die cutting, and about a day to sort and put together!

It was great fun.
