Do you change your car insurance every year?
I’ve just cancelled mine, it was going to cost me £29 a month my son found me one for £18 a month, with compare the meerkat…that’s nearly half the price.
It pays to shop around ,when you car insurance is about to end.

We always have a sniff around.
I shop around to obtain new quotes every year but I don’t always change it.
If I have no problems with my existing insurer and they agree to better, or least match, the cheapest comparable quote, I usually agree to stay with them - it saves the hassle of switching every year.
I thought companies weren’t supposed to offer better rates to new customers than to renewal customers nowadays but I ended up switching at my last renewal because there was lots of better deals than what my renewal offer was.
I have just renewed my car insurance, it’s important to make sure you get the same cover if you change companies but I have found,
Some offer quotes cheaper but if you add on what your current provider offers, the price is either similar or more expensive, or indeed, not much cheaper, mine went up by £13 so was happy to renew.
