I went to the York Cup. 
Horse racing last year and having studied the form I picked my horse and was all cock-a-hoop.
Placed my bet, went to the grandstand to watch the race.
Checking my ticket I noticed that I had backed the wrong horse. Bugger Glum and gloom.
How is this serendipitous?
The horse I wrongly backed, won. Giving me several hundred dollars.

Just went to the supermarket for a few groceries. Parked in the lot, got out of my car, just walking toward the store. Right in front of me on the ground lay a $20 bill! I looked around, not a soul in sight in either direction. I picked it up, and wondered at the find.
Hereās the weird part. A couple of weeks ago at the casino, a gent walking past me was putting bills into his wallet, and dropped a $20 behind him. I immediately said āsir! Sirā He looked up and I pointed to the $20 on the floor behind him. He said, āBless youā! as he scooped it up. I felt so good to do that deed.
Now, today, is it serendipity for me to be in that parking lot, that specific aisle at just the right time?!?
I think it was more than a coincidence. Donāt you?
