On thing that annoys me is putting a finger on a camcorder touchscreen to go into the menu. Big fingers and small print don 't exactly go together. Try getting onto one sub section and the finger covers another. So I decided to get a pointer pen to do this function. Whaat i didn’t know was how many different types of pointer/touch pens tere are. It all depends on the screen so it seems as there are different types requiring different pens.
So back to research I discovered the type I need is called a Capacitive Touchscreen pen. Even then some are battery or USB powered which I didn’t wan’t . . eventually I found “hopefully” what I am after at a reasonable price.
this has a special end tips that may do the job without marks. The camcorder with the screen hood on is impossible to get to the camcorder menu so this should be the answer
You don’t see them much these days but some years ago every charity and gift bag seemed to contain one of those pens, I think I still have several of various sizes and styles in a drawer somewhere.
Personally didn’t find them much use, it must be my slim, delicate fingers.
