Broken earphones

yes after many years my Sony MDR-XB550 earphones fell apart

and I cannot fix it, a small bit of plastic broke away. do have a Sennheiser unit but the impedence is no good for my camcorder or my small handheld Ipad . Sue also had one of these but now uses a an Anker Soundcore life Q20 earphone.

I was never really happy with the sony it had a cable to each earpiece which was a nuisance and lets say “worked” but not that great sound and didnt fit right over the ear, they don’t even make that model any more but do a later version.

So I tried Sues one and wow what a difference ,ok bit more upmarket but from trying it out well worth it. needless to say I have ordered one and should be here later today

Like your old camcorder long overdue for replacement.

Mine are not expensive ones - Sony WH-CH700N - noise cancelling, bluetooth, rechargable but come with a stereo cord with a threeway plug on each end so you can plug them in if necessary (never had to)

Cost less than $200 (<£100) can connect them to my phone, my Walkman, even my car and can use them on aircraft too. Really comfortable to wear.
