That might just be the funniest sentence I’ve read in a while. I’m sure I heard some government ministers attempt the same logic. Along the lines of “the queues at Dover are nothing to do with Brexit; they’ve come afterward as a result of the UK not being in the EU”.
I must try this logic at home: “The fact the car is not insured has nothing to do with me ignoring the reminder; this has occurred afterwards as a result of the insurance running out”.
48 hours later and no-one is refuting the Brexit lies I have noted. I’m guessing that is due to lack of evidence. Hey ho. We graft on and live with the lies.
I’m more than a trifle cynical about the new “Trade Bloc”, until I see signs of some benefits in UK retail prices on lots of things. As to whether or not the EU would open arms and welcome us, then that, even if successful, would probably take twice as long as executing Brexit did, and they’d make us pay, outlandishly, out of spite, alone!
So instead we got two posts that insult the person and do not even attempt the address the issue. That is the quality of debate that Brexit fans have to use. Dismal but I guess expected.
But if we did have to go crawling back intop the mire, the EU would shout it from the rooftops that leaving the EU is not an option and woe betide anyone else who tries.
On the other hand, how many big situations has Europe won without our involvement?
And we’d deserve it for betraying our allies and the commitments we’d made. I am so ashamed of the Brexiters made us into that sort of country
But whatever humble pie we have to eat, back in will be the only way to get us out of this mess the Brexiters condemned us to, and the sooner the better
