Does anyone have a bb1 and what do think about it
No never had or used one. When I had CDs I just ripped them on my laptop.
Haven’t bought a CD for ages just stream my music now.
Oh get you you techie you.
Techie is the right word … I always used to get confused by all the different formats.
I know frightening isn’t it.
I can listen to all sorts of music that normally I wouldn’t. Just to see if I like it.
Yep there was and still is a lot of formats at different qualities. I’ll shut up now
No don’t … but it used to be awful on CD players knowing all the disc types and then on digital, all the file types.
All I can say is that digital copies never seem to lose their quality.
Yes I remember now some would only play certain types. CD-R, CD+R and then rewritable.
I think you are right about digital retaining quality. The number of cassettes I had that had stretched or got eaten by the machine.
Same with vinyl scratches and jumping. Although there is some thing about the sound of vinyl that is not as clinical as a cd (just my opinion)
The BB1 is not a ripper. You need to upload your music from a different source, such bas your PC/laptop. But it is a reasonable quality internet radio with a memory system for uploading your CD’s onto & then playing.
Edited to add. The BB1 uses a Raspberry Pi as the OS!! Which is well below what other, better & cheaper internet radios use.
Hi… I owned a Brennan B2. Is that what you meant?
I bought the system plus speakers in 2016 and it’s been absolutely brilliant.
I burned all my cds onto it, pressed ‘random’ and it played a selection of my favourite tracks all day long
Never heard of it, I still have a few Sony Walkmans, a cassette one, a DVD player and a MP3 Player
Many years ago I converted all my records and CDs to MP3s but these days I just use Spotify on my phone which can be sent to my stereo, Bluetooth speakers, car radio, headphones etc
All my old records and CDs are still on my server but I am afraid Spotify is just too convenient, I can’t remember the last time I used my record player.
I still use my Sony MD Walkman HD player that can have up to 16 or 17 CDs or albums uploaded to a single HD disk.
