Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme is now live!

When you buy a drink in a plastic bottle, aluminium or steel can that features the Re-turn logo, you pay a small deposit in addition to the price of the drink. When you return your empty and undamaged drink container to participating shops and supermarket, you get your deposit back in full.

This scheme only introduced few weeks ago here my grand daughter collecting the bottles and returning them just 7 years old and puts all the money collected into a piggy bank. we counted it all out for her last night just 3 weeks doing it. and was 120 euros .anyone else doing this sort of thing.

Brilliant idea Feey, it worked very well for us when we were kids.
I wish they would do something similar round here it might stop the endless amount of drinks bottles and drinks cans adorning all the verges I notice when I’m I’m out walking. People must just throw them out of their car windows… :009:
