So, well equipped to be a politician then :+1:

He probably has already taken that into consideration before submitting his offer to buy. With his long list of contacts, most failings could be covered by grants.

as a socialist i care not what hapens to any tory minister [and there have been a few monsters over the years] but this partygate needs a line drawing under it…
no i wasnt allowed to have any kind of party… but there had to be allowances… ambulance crews the fire services, even the bin men and the police… so how might the country be run without the civil service encroaching on each other space?..and if they could do it from 9-5 why couldnt these same folk sit and hav tea??? together, after all didnt Boris get hospitalised with the dreaded lurgy? and the main complainants about Boris, likely say their prayers each night in front of a picture of the Thatcher bitch.

Hi

If he had been convinced of his innocence he would have stayed and made his case before the house of commons, his peers.

He chose not to.

In deciding not to, he has been able to avoid all personal blame and have rhe possibility of a return.

It is about time we changed the system.

Mps should have no second jobs, a very limited daily expense account, daily and only when Parliament is sitting.

At the moment, they get a mint in pay and expenses, can have as many jobs as they want and then play stupid personal games in Parliament.

They spend more time looking after themselves than they do governing the Country

His resignation statement was disgraceful. No surprise there. He clearly wants to present himself as the victim so that he can come back after the tories lose the next election. There are still plenty of tory supporters who think Johnson is the saviour of their party / the country / their own wealth.

It’s just a shame it’s taken 4 years to get rid of him

Last October I had a conversation with a retired English couple who are huge B. Johnson fans. They called him a “maverick” and hailed him for the things that he had done for the country.
That was a strange situation as I had never met a real person who seriously was a Johnson fan.
Who knows how many more exist in England and might bring him back…

Indeed, vile, base, low. Cronyism, the ‘House of Lords’ is a national embarrassment.

Boris no doubt wants his own crony coterie.

All the Liars now have an excuse

Every time you see Boris on the telly now, he seems to be running, does he know something everyone else doesn’t. :icon_wink:

I don’t know what boris has got, it’s almost like he’s a cult leader, in the eyes of his faithful he can do no wrong, they can’t see he’s a pathological liar who will tell anyone what they want to hear, he’s lied to the whole country just to get what he wants, it’s boris 1st, 2nd, and third, the only thing he was suitable for was his occasional appearance on have I got news for you, where he was mildly amusing, hopefully we’re shot of him , and his terrible mates, who have brought this country to its knees, and made us the laughing stock of the world….

Hi

He is very divisive and has a real nasty streak to him.

He and his mates like JRM are still playing politics rather than being inclusive.

Boris really is the Corbyn of the Tory Party.

Johnson isn’t done yet. Save some of your hate for later

Like most prime ministers.

One rumour is that Johnson was hospitalised deliberately because he wouldn’t support the lockdowns.

Whether its true or not I don’t know but after all the lies we were told about vaccines etc I’m inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt.

As for the civil service, they have continued as they were in 2020.

As for Thatcher, she saved the country after the disaster of socialism.

You mean Labour MP Harriet Harman who, as a member and campaigner for PIE (the Paedophile Information Exchange) actively promoted sex between children and adults in the 70s and 80s. Other members included former Labour Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Patricia Hewitt and Labour MP Jack Dromey.

People have short memories but Johnsons downfall was mainly down to these paedophile sympathisers in the labour party. Harman in particular being chair of the privileges committee.

Be careful which heroes you worship.

P.S. Johnsons honours list was edited by Sunak and most likely James Forsyth (the husband of Allegra Stratton). Never has there been an asylum of corruption, lies and deceit in Parliament than we have now. That’s not just the tories, but labour, SNP, Greens and Lib Dems all across the board.

The storm gathers …

No Bread … Johnson’s downfall was entirely down to himself.

Although I don’t agree with what he did, he didn’t warrant his cabinet walking out on him over a piece of cake and a kangaroo court lead by decietful liar Sue Grey, who was discussing and plotting with Starmer behind the back of Boris Johnson and misleading the public about her true intentions.

If you think this was justified, your part of the problem.
