Booing - who would you boo?

Booing is very “in” at the moment :open_mouth:

Wills and Kate in the Caribbean, Wills at Wembley, Andrew Lloyd Webber at Cinderella, Djokovic at the French Open, England at the Italy Match, England in Hungary, Boris Johnson at the Jubilee, they’ve all had a jolly good booing recently🤣

And now they’re saying one of the reasons they didn’t let Andrew appear on Garter Day was that they’re afraid he’ll get booed!

So, is there anyone you’d boo if they came round your way or do you think it’s rude ?

:stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue:

It would probably be easier to compile a list of those I wouldn’t boo!

Nobody. I wouldn’t give anyone the satisfaction.

I don’t know if that’s a thing here. Maybe it’s so common that people don’t report about it. I’m not sure. A quick search turned up not much of anything.

I can’t think of anyone i would bother booing, feels like more effort than it’s worth, considering some people would like it more than get a message.

I think booing someone is more of an English tradition. Nobody up here in Scotland would boo anyone…they would either be ignored or have to suffer the indignity of having wet stuff (of indiscriminate origin) chucked at them.

I don’t do the competitive: sport or politics. So there are no disappointments, everyone’s a winner baby.

Ah, thanks. Makes sense that I don’t hear of it much.

Yes, its typically polite version of “we don’t like you”

I personally think booing someone or something is rather juvenile.
Not everyone has to agree with all.
Imo ,taking the knee on the black lives matter is pathetic beyond belief,as all lives matter end of.

I don’t know how polite it is, but it happens in theaters sometimes or things like that. And it does happen in crowds. I just don’t know if it happens to where it gets reported as a thing.

The only place I would “boo” is at the theatre during a Pantomime, when one is encouraged to “boo” the Panto Villain.

Any other time is rather childish and rude. in my opinion.

I don’t recall booing anyone and don’t intend to start now. It is a bit pointless.

Whatabout booze?

What’s your poison?

A nice cup of tea.
What is the favourite in SA ?

If it’s tea, then Rooibos tea.

If it’s poison, then it’s  not mine though. Nice ladies don’t drink :beers: or smoke.
