Big-up yourself

Did you have to send 100 dollars to claim your inheritance from that good looking uncle of yours as well?

How did you know ???

After that hospital episode I suppose it is to put a smile on someones face once a day.

Big myself up? I hope not. I try to be a nice person but I think that’s no more than most people are anyway.

Best feature = eyes

Redeeming character trait = never been known to break either a confidence or a promise.

Best feature physically ? My smile
Best character trait ? My sense of humour

Indeed, as we should. We have lovely neighbours. Sometimes just simple things can just make all the difference. We walk the dogs for an elder lady, we have another who brings us home made tarts, another gives us plants for the garden…I could go on…

I have nice feet and dainty ears. Even with small ears I am a good listener. :ear: I also have developed sound mental stamina. For those who matter to me I have endless patience and tolerance. I can be relied on and never let anyone down.

Erm, I don’t usually like bigging myself up, it feels awkward and sort of show-offy . But here goes! I’m not sure I’ve got a ‘best feature’, lol. I suppose it could be my hair, which has always been thick and, in my younger days, very glossy. Now I’ve gone grey so the gloss is no longer there, but it’s still thick and in good condition.

My best character trait is probably my sense of humour and I would hope people think of me as kind and caring, but that’s probably something we all strive to be!

Sorry to be a pain in the ass, it’s not my thing bigging myself up. :zipper_mouth_face: :

But what I will say is that I have a certificate to say the day I as born and at some point I will have a certificate to say the day when I snuffed it - and at that time my loss to society will be mourned by some.

I asked my husband since he knows me best.
Maybe he’s wrong though. :grimacing::woman_shrugging:
Plus there seems to be shaming of people who have anything good to say about themselves.
Should we be shamed for thinking we have any good features or characteristics?
Maybe the correct response should be ‘I just want world peace, nothing else cause I’m so selfless.’

:rofl::rofl: Yes, like those girls in beauty contests and Miss World used to simper

I remember a mood boosting exercise I tried out once. First thing in the morning you had to mentally list 10 good things about yourself and 10 things you were looking forward to that day

I love this Maree! I always make sure I have things to look forward to during the day. Never thought about the the good things about yourself though. Might try that too! :+1:

I’m not so sure I need Bigging Up coz at my tallest in bare feet I was a twiff (a smidgen) over 6’ 6" and always had to stoop to pass through a standard doorway opening; shoes or boots made it even worse.
