Biden forgives $10K in student loan debt

Biden announced that the US govt. will forgive $10K in federal student loan debt per person for people making less than $125K/yr or couples making less than $250K/yr.

The loan forgiveness will start on Jan. 2023. Biden also extended the student loan forbearance from covid until the end of Dec. 2022.

The Biden administration is forgiving up to $10,000 in federal student loans for those making less than $125,000 a year for individuals or $250,000 for married couples or heads of households and up to $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients who meet the income threshold. Private loan holders are not included in the plan.
