A few weeks ago we went to see Dutch prog rockers Focus & thier drummer, Pierre van der Linden is amazing. He is 75, looks 50 & plays drums like few others can.

funnily enough I was talking to my Dad today about Cozy Powell, I don’t even know how the subject came up about drummers then I come on her and you mention Cozy lol.
I read up about him and he died at aged 50 as he was speeding at 104 mph in bad weather. His last words were ‘oh shit’
Apparently he was seeing a married woman and she was upset and called him asking him to go over, she told him to hurry. He was over the legal limit and was talking to his married girlfriend on his mobile whilst driving at that ridiculous speed.
He was a brilliant drummer, such a waste of a talented life.
I wonder if she blamed herself for his death?
Back to best drummer, I think Roger Taylor is a brilliant drummer
